How do I restring my bow?

To restring the X-Versa™, X-LR8™ and X-WON™ bows you need special equipment. We recommend that you do NOT try to do this on your own. Take your bow to a sporting goods store or your local archery shop and have them restring it for you. This also applies to changing the cable on your bow.

How do I change the cable on my bow?

How often should I replace my cable/string?

The amount of use your bow gets determines how often the cable or string needs to be replaced. Always replace the string and cable when wear is noticeable, but at a minimum, you should replace the cable and string every two years.

How do I adjust the draw weight on my Gen-X bow?

How much/how do I wax the bow string?

For best performance, it is important to keep your bow string waxed. If you’re using your bow regularly, you should wax the strings every other week.

How much/how do I lubricate the wheel/cam?

There is no lubrication needed.

Where do I get a manual for my Gen-X bow?

I purchased a Gen-X Bow but don’t see it on the site. Where can I find information on this?

In 2017, the original Gen-X bow was renamed the X-Dawn™. If you are looking for specific information about this bow you can visit the X-Dawn product page.

Are there any specific sights for my Gen-X or will any type of sight work?

All Gen-X bows are manufactured to the Archery Trade Association’s (ATA) standards.

What kind of arrow should I use with my Gen-X bow?

The arrow weight and spine specifications can be obtained at many arrow manufacturer websites. A minimum of 5 grains per pound of draw weight is recommended.

What rest can I use with my Gen-X bow?

All Gen-X bows are manufactured to the Archery Trade Association’s (ATA) standards.

How do I register my bow?

You register your bow on this site. Please note that you will need the serial number of your bow, which can be found on the riser.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, a notification, including the tracking number will be sent to the email address provided with the order.

What is your return policy?

If something about your bow is not quite what you were aiming for and you want to make a return or exchange, we are happy to work with you to make sure you get what you want. But it is important that you do not shoot your bow.

What is your shipping policy?

Stock items are typically shipped within two (2) business days of purchase. Because it is built-to-order, a custom X-Dawn™ will typically ship within five (5) business days of purchase.

We use a variety of carriers including UPS, FedEx or the U.S. Postal Service.

We cannot ship to PO Boxes.

Do you ship bows internationally?

Please contact us for further details regarding international shipments. Also note that we will do our best to accommodate every request, but are limited to the countries we can ship to.

What is your warranty policy?

One (1) year warranty to the original owner. Note that any and all warranties are voided if any alterations are made to the bow, including cosmetic refinishing. For full details, see the Gen-X Warranty or the bow’s Owner’s Manual.

How do I make a warranty claim?

To process your warranty claim, do the following:

  1. Contact Customer Support to request a return authorization number. Any bow returned to Gen-X without a pre-issued return authorization number will be refused.

We recommend a shipping method that provides a tracking number. We also suggest you reference your return authorization number on the exterior of your shipping carton or within the address. Gen-X is not responsible for return shipments that do not arrive at our facility.

After the work is complete, your bow will be shipped back to you.

Do you have any coupon codes or do you offer free shipping?
